The Union Storage & Transfer Cold Storage Warehouse and Armour Creamery companies yielded many job opportunities for the community. In 2013, 1026 NP Avenue, LLC purchased the building and began the historic preservation process. In 2015, construction on the residential side of The Historic Union was complete. The Historic Union is a Fargo landmark featuring an upscale, industrial look and feel that you can call home. The complex offers modern loft apartment homes that honor the historic characteristics of the building, including exposed ceilings, beams and original brick. Every unit has its own washer/dryer, 13' ceilings, and polished concrete floors. We have an onsite fitness room and community room. We cover your water, sewer, garbage, and internet. We offer unassigned outdoor parking for $35/permit/month or assigned indoor parking for $100/permit/month. The security deposit is 1 months rent. Applications are completed online and are $30 per person and consist of a credit/criminal check. Our standard lease is 12 months. As an added perk of living in our community, just next door to us, a mere hallway away, you'll find the Rough Cut Social (an Axe Throwing Club) and Pixeled Arcade and Brewery! We are pet friendly, so you will see cats and dogs onsite (we love our furry friends)! The nonrefundable pet deposit for 1 dog is $500 or for 1 cat is $350. We do allow up to 2 pets in a unit (2 dogs, 2 cats, or 1 cat/1 dog) and the deposit would be slightly adjusted for this. There is a $35/month pet privilege fee per pet. We have a weight limit of around 50lbs and aggressive breed restriction.
