Uahi Ridge

*Applications Available Soon* Uahi Ridge is a new two-phase affordable rental community in Lihue designed to provide safe, long-term housing for Kauai families. Phase 1 is anticipated to be ready in October 2026, with Phase 2 anticipated to be ready in the first quarter of 2027. Together, both phases will create a pedestrian-friendly residential community near Kukui Grove Center, Wilcox Hospital, Walmart, Kauai Medical Clinic, government offices, public transportation, shopping, services, and other major employment centers. Once complete, Uahi Ridge will provide a mix of affordable one-, two-, and three-bedroom rental homes for residents earning up to 60% of Area Median Income, with Phase 1 consisting of 96 units, including one manager's unit. The community is being designed with family-friendly amenities and everyday convenience in mind, including community space, playground area, picnic and barbecue areas, mail areas, common area Wi-Fi, EV charging stations, and designated storage areas for bicycles, e-scooters, surfboards, and other multimodal equipment. Uahi Ridge Phase 2 will build on the first phase by adding additional affordable housing opportunities and community-focused amenities. Phase 2 will also include leasing preferences intended to meet local community needs, including preferences for Kauai residents, Section 8 voucher holders, and tenants with disabilities. The project will also include designated housing opportunities for residents with special housing needs, including a unit set aside for an individual or family transitioning out of homelessness, with supportive services anticipated to be provided by the YWCA. Together, Uahi Ridge Phase 1 and Phase 2 will help address Kaua i's significant need for affordable housing while creating a walkable, family-oriented community in one of L hu e's most convenient locations.
