The Auditorium, 1400 Cumberland, was constructed in 1911 to complement the Little Rock High School on the same block.
This classic revival building was rehabilitated over 10 years ago when it was converted into 34 apartments.
There are still several historic elements preserved that reflect the original use as an auditorium.
There are so many different floor plans in this special building and the sizes of the apartments vary greatly.
Downtown Dwellings acquired the property in late 2025 and has rehabilitated almost all of the vacant apartments.
Most of the newly apartments have been rented and as the apartment rehab is winding down, the crew is focusing on the common spaces.
Each apartment has been updated with new custom kitchen cabinets, new appliances, and each apartment now has an in-unit washer and dryer.
These are pretty unique spaces, not only the apartments, but also the historic lobby and auditorium.
