He was the inspiration for Utica-based architect Frederick Gouge who designed the former Utica Commercial Travelers Building in 1904. The building was first constructed in 1905 and in 1938 an addition to the original 5-story structure was built. Today, this iconic structure is now home to 32 apartments in the heart of downtown Utica! The building consists of studios and 1-bedrooms, on-site secure parking, tenant storage available, fitness center and a community room.
