**Affordable Queen Anne Living Enjoy classic Seattle charm just blocks from the heart of Queen Anne at the historic Celestine Apartments. Located at the corner of McGraw Street and 6th Avenue W, the Celestine is directly across the street from Macrina Bakery and Ken's Market, with restaurants, neighborhood shops, salons, and other conveniences nearby. Public transportation serving both northbound and southbound routes is also conveniently located nearby. This light and bright apartment is located on the building's quiet daylight-basement level (see photos) and features high ceilings, a comfortable living area, a cozy separate bedroom, bathroom with shower, in-unit gas heat, and two private entrances. Track lighting provides a great way to highlight artwork, photographs, and other wall decor. The roomy kitchen includes an electric range and oven, refrigerator, space for a small dining area, and generous cabinet storage that can be difficult to find in many vintage apartment buildings. The historic 10-unit Celestine Apartments is a controlled-access building with many long-term residents and offers a comfortable neighborhood setting away from much of the activity and noise associated with denser in-city locations, while still being close to everything Queen Anne has to offer. The building includes an on-site coin-operated washer and dryer and covered bicycle parking. Street parking is also available throughout the surrounding neighborhood and does not currently require a residential parking permit. Water, sewer, and garbage are included in the rent. Electricity is supplied through the building's house meter and is charged at an additional flat rate of $50 per month for one occupant or $75 for two occupants. Residents are responsible for separately metered natural gas serving the apartment's in-unit gas furnace. A $30 monthly Resident Benefits Program is included as part of the monthly housing charges. Benefits include ACH rent-payment options (no checks are required), up to $1,000 in accidental damage protection, qualifying emergency overnight hotel accommodations at no charge to the tenant, security deposit review, lockout/key replacement coverage, sink drain maintenance packs, and additional resident services. The initial lease term is 912 months, followed by 12-month renewal terms. Renter's insurance is required. The refundable security deposit is $1,250. First month's rent and applicable move-in costs are due in accordance with the rental agreement and applicable Seattle requirements, including any statutory right to pay qualifying move-in costs in installments. This is a no-smoking, no-pet property. Assistance animals are not pets and are accommodated in accordance with applicable Fair Housing laws. There is no PetScreening charge for assistance-animal accommodation requests. Reasonable accommodations are available to persons with disabilities as required by law. Minimum rental screening criteria include stable, verifiable monthly income and favorable rental references from the applicant's two most recent landlords. All lawful, verifiable sources of income are considered. For applicants using a housing subsidy or other qualifying source of rental assistance, income requirements will be calculated in accordance with applicable law based on the applicant's portion of the housing cost after applicable subsidies. All applicants are evaluated consistently under UMANO's published screening criteria and applicable Seattle First-in-Time requirements. We do not offer virtual showings. The property must be personally viewed by the prospective resident or by someone representing the prospective resident before an application is submitted. Reasonable accommodations to the showing or application process will be considered as required by applicable law. This property is shown by appointment only, as management is not located on-site.
