Longwood Community Living Center - Unclaimed

Thrashers, Lake City and Sunflower are rural communities in the Booneville area of northeastern Mississippi, amid rolling land, wooded stretches and open fields. The climate brings hot, humid summers and generally mild winters, with seasonal rain shaping the landscape. Booneville provides nearby everyday services and local dining, while the surrounding countryside offers a quieter pace and scenic drives. Outdoor recreation is part of the appeal: Tishomingo State Park, known for its rocky terrain, trails and waterways, is within reach for hiking, picnicking and exploring. The area’s history is rooted in the wider region’s agricultural and small-town heritage; local churches and community gathering places remain prominent landmarks. Driving is the practical way to get around, with regional roads connecting the scattered communities to Booneville and nearby towns. Shopping, coffee and nightlife options are limited locally, so residents often travel for a broader selection.
