Maple Manor - Unclaimed

Podunk, Butman, Hockaday, Meredith and Oberlin are rural communities in Gladwin County, set among wooded land, lakes and the rolling terrain of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula. The area has four-season weather, with warm summers for time outdoors and cold, snowy winters. Small lakes, quiet roads and natural surroundings shape daily life; boating, fishing and walks on local roads and trails are popular ways to enjoy the landscape. Gladwin provides nearby places to shop, eat and pick up a coffee, while the surrounding communities have a quieter, more spread-out feel than a town center. Local history is tied to the region’s rural development and lake country, rather than a cluster of major landmarks. A car is generally the most practical way to get around, with regional roads connecting homes, outdoor spots and services.
