Riverside Valley Care Community in St. Albans, WV - Unclaimed

Amandaville, Ferrell, Scary, Virginia Heights and Arborland Acres lie across the Kanawha Valley communities of Saint Albans, Scott Depot and Jefferson. The setting combines river and creek corridors with wooded hills, and the four-season climate brings humid summers and cool winters. Saint Albans’ historic downtown has locally owned shops and places to eat, while the wider area offers cafés, everyday shopping and restaurants along the main roads. Outdoor options include Kanawha State Forest’s trails and wooded scenery, plus community parks and riverside paths in the valley. The local history is tied to the Kanawha River and the region’s industrial and rail past; arts and evening entertainment are more modest than in a large city. Driving is the most practical way to connect the spread-out neighborhoods, with regional roads linking them to Charleston and nearby communities.
