Shelbyville Apartments - Unclaimed

The communities of Center, Timpson, Joaquin, Arcadia, Grigsby, Short, Aiken and Neuville sit among the pine and hardwood forests of East Texas, where humid summers, mild winters and a long growing season shape outdoor life. The area’s rural setting brings quiet roads, wooded scenery and access to lakes and streams; local parks and public recreation areas offer places to picnic, play and spend time outside. In Center and the surrounding towns, everyday errands and casual meals are concentrated along local business corridors, with independent cafés and restaurants adding small-town character. Community events, historic sites and local arts give the region a sense of place, while larger shopping and entertainment options are more limited than in a city. Driving is the most practical way to get around between the separate communities, and trails and open spaces provide opportunities for walking, cycling and enjoying the landscape.
