Updyke's Willow Ridge - Unclaimed

The 14843 area spans Hornell and nearby North Hornell, with Big Creek, South Hornell, Butcher Corner and Webbs Crossing adding a mix of city streets, residential pockets and open countryside in the Canisteo River valley. The four-season climate brings snowy winters and warm summers. Hornell’s railroad history is part of its identity, and the historic downtown has local shops, cafés and dining, with everyday retail clustered along major roads. Parks and outdoor recreation offer room for walks and play; the region’s hills and waterways also invite seasonal outings. Arts and community events add activity through the year, while local libraries provide indoor options. Driving is the most practical way to travel between the distinct areas and reach nearby destinations; walking and cycling work best for shorter trips within individual neighborhoods.
