Willow Ridge Center - Unclaimed

Alder Springs, Chestnut Grove, New Loyston, Paulette and Pinhook lie in Union County’s rural landscape, where rolling hills, wooded stretches and open countryside shape daily life. The area has four-season weather, with warm, humid summers and cool winters. Norris Lake is a major nearby draw for boating, fishing and shoreline outings, while Big Ridge State Park offers trails, picnic areas and lake views. Maynardville provides a small-town center for errands and local dining; coffee and shopping options are more limited than in a larger city. The county’s history is reflected in New Loyston, a community relocated when Norris Lake was created, and in the broader region’s ties to the Tennessee Valley Authority. Driving is the main way to get around, with scenic rural roads connecting the communities and access to outdoor recreation.
