Stanley Martin was not customer-focused during my experience. I did not feel valued as a customer and was treated more like a number to fill a house. Several of my concerns were dismissed, and I was provided false or misleading information throughout the process. Stanley Martin also made promises that they did not intend to fulfill. In one instance, I provided written documentation from a sales associate confirming a promised item, yet Stanley Martin still refused to install it. Additionally, I was told that a flashing detail around a vent was an “acceptable method even if it isn’t the manufacturer’s preferred method,” and they refused to correct it. Leaving this detail unchanged creates an unnecessary future maintenance item that could have easily been avoided during construction. I was also disappointed by the lack of product knowledge demonstrated by the project managers. On multiple occasions, I had to correct them by referencing and providing the manufacturer’s installation instructions for the products being installed.

We have been very satisfied with our experience. Particularly working with people like Deborah and Bryan.

Overall was great when dealing with people. The only exception is the final house completion was not as expected and I still haven't got a fix and I don't think they'll fix it. There's an unappealing triangle corner that just sticks up in the middle of the front-top paneling of the house. I was expecting more of a clean angled line, but the builder said that's how the splashing was laid out.--Yet, I looked at the other houses of the same model that they have a clean line where mine has this ugly zig-zag corner that they won't fix.
