I am extremely angry with the loan officer and LoanDepot itself. My first loan officer was John. He originally quoted my monthly payment as something that was less than our current mortgage. Less by $200. Then the day before closing on the house, I get the closing disclosure which was $250 more than originally quoted by John. I called them about it. I talked to Paul. He told me that John has been fired and no longer works there so he will be taking the loan over from here. John had miscalculated the taxes with my payment so now my payment is $250 more a month than what John quoted me. I will stress, this is the day before I’m supposed to close. We are moving from Utah to Tennessee. We sold our house in Utah and have been staying in a hotel for the last week and a half. I had no other option than this house and this loan. You are putting a gun to my head and saying I have to accept this additional payment. If I didn’t then it would be additional thousands and thousands of dollars and months to find a new house, and try to find somewhere to stay in the mean time. When bringing this problem up with Paul the only thing he offered was a $250 Home Depot gift card. This only covers 1 month. That’s not good enough. This is a small mistake for you, but for me this is something I’m now having to deal with for the next 30 years. This is completely unacceptable. If I was told the correct payment at the beginning, than we would have made different decisions. I hope someone actually steps up to the plate to make this right by me.
