Chris Conner, a lifelong Idahoan, began building homes in the late 1970s with the founding of Chris Conner Construction. Over the course of his career, he established a reputation for quality craftsmanship and integrity throughout the Treasure Valley. In 2016, he passed the torch to his son Clayton, who founded Conner Construction—carrying forward that legacy with a fresh, forward-thinking perspective. Raised on Boise job sites and working in construction since the age of 12, Clayton developed a deep, hands-on understanding of the craft early on. He later earned his Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, along with a minor in Business, from Boise State University—graduating with honors in just three and a half years. Clayton has built a reputation for excellence in hillside construction, custom homes, and complex residential projects. Known for his attention to detail and commitment to quality, he approaches every build with precision and care. In addition to his work in the field, Clayton has served as both President and Vice President of the Building Contractors Association of Southwestern Idaho, where he has supported the next generation of builders and helped guide first-time buyers toward homeownership. Today, Clayton continues to build on his family’s legacy—making Conner Construction a trusted name in Boise for craftsmanship, creativity, and local commitment.
