The northeastern property boundary boarding the creek consists of muckalee loam. A small homestead, cabin, or hunting camp could potentially be built on the property; however, no soil evaluation has been conducted, so buyers are encouraged to assess the land's suitability for their intended use. There exists a permanent conservation easement along the northeast boundary that was put into place in 2023 by the North Carolina Wildlife Habitat Foundation. This easement doesn't impact the potential for farming or building a home as the easement encompasses only a small amount of acreage along the creek.
