Songbird Ridge is a refuge and nesting habitat for quail and numerous other bird species such as Painted Bunting, Cactus Wren, Black-chinned Hummingbird, Scissor-tailed Flycatcher, Orchard Oriole and other Texas Hill Country birds. The property has been under a wildlife management since 2004 with MCAD with the target species being native songbirds.
