This home is located in Deer Creek Mobile Home Park, on Gottfried Creek, in the older section of Englewood - echoing the Florida of an earlier era. Only 4 blocks from Lemon Bay (named for the vast lemon groves which lined its shores), Manatee Manor is conveniently close to all the amenities (1-15 minutes away from multiple Gulf beaches, fine-dining restaurants, multiple state parks, nature preserves, walking & biking trails, boat tours, fishing trips, etc.). The creek offers good fishing from the bank and excellent access to Lemon Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Englewood is a charming beach town with many shops and restaurants, as well as a remarkable number of interesting events throughout the year. The Thursday Farmers' Market in downtown Englewood provides a a virtual mini-fair every week from October thru May. The causeway to beautiful Manasota Key is 1 and 1/2 minutes from the property. Once on Manasota Key, there are three major county park beaches at the north, middle and south end of the Key, as well as Stump Pass State Park (6 minutes away), which, at the very south end of the Key, offers absolutely stunning views and access to the bay, the pass and the Gulf. Our closest beach, Englewood Beach, 4 minutes away, is adjacent to several interesting shops and good restaurants. To the south, it is only 15 minutes by car to the Boca Grande Causeway, which crosses the Intracoastal Waterway to Gasparilla Island and the village of Boca Grande. Once on the island, from 19th St. south there is beach access on every street all the way to the south end of the island, which is another 3 1/2 miles. So there are literally dozens of (uncrowded) Gulf beaches. To the north, it is only 15 minutes to the town of Venice, with extensive shopping/dining, and only 40 minutes to Sarasota, with all of this and its additional cultural attractions. In addition to the mobile home park's private boat ramp and slips (additional fee), there are multiple public boat ramp facilities 4 minutes north and south of the property. Please note that the MINIMUM stay is 120 days (i.e. 4 months - park policy) and that rentals in excess of 6 months & 1 day are NOT subject to the 12% FL sales tax. Check-in is 4:00 pm and check-out is 10:00 am. Rental fees for reservations made more than 60 days in advance of your arrival date can be made in 2 or 3 installment payments.
