The Boronda Adobe and Estate is Monterey's oldest home and one of the finest examples of true Spanish Colonial Architecture. Originally a land grant from the Spanish Emperor, the Boronda Adobe was built by Don Jose Manuel Boronda in 1817. The estate comprises three dwellings (one of which is a convertible garage) and four secluded acres, yet is a short stroll to downtown Monterey, California's first capital. Showings by appointment only to qualified buyers. Please do not disturb occupants.
