    Welcome to Newburgh, New York's other City. Many positive things have been happening around town lately. Newburgh is rapidly becoming the Hudson Vally's creative hub. Many new shops and cafes have opened up in the area, all within walking distance from this apartment. There is a fresh air breathing through Newburgh and finally apartments are becoming available that capture that sprit. Located in the Historic District of Newburgh NY, this building has seen lots of history. Just a few blocks down is the house that Thomas Edison stayed in while he helped wire Newburgh to become the first city completely covered with electricity. There are many things close by and within walking distance to this apartment. Downing Park, named for renowned architect Andrew J Downing, is no more then a 5 minute walk. Right across the street is Audrey Cary Park, a smaller park perfect to unwind and read a book in. SUNY Orange, a State School offering classes and 2 year degrees is a few blocks down the street. Mount St. Mary College is a mere few minute walk as well. Shopping is easy. There is a local bodega across the street. If you need a little more, then there are bigger grocery stores around as well as Target/Walmart (10 minute drive). Also in the warm months, there are local farmer's markets around the city. Transportation is easy. Transit Orange provides bus service across the city and throughout orange county. Biking is easy in Newburgh, it is a quick ride over the Beacon bridge to the Metro North Train Station. Also in Newburgh is Stewart International Airport and 2 interstates (I84 & I87).
