Mint and elegant 7 room home with views of the Met in one of the most prestigious co-ops on Fifth Avenue. Step into the grand, square gallery with a custom marble floor and walk-in coat closet. The gallery opens up into a massive, 30 foot long living room, with two South facing windows, beamed ceilings, and a gas fireplace framed by a beautiful mantle. Adjacent to the living room is an oversized, South facing dining room that is perfect for entertaining. The newly renovated chef's kitchen features a large eat-in area with built-in desk, and features marble countertops, Subzero refrigerator, Miele dishwasher, a wine fridge and warming drawer, and a Thermador range with six burners, a grill and double ovens. Off of the kitchen is the handsome, wood paneled library with an en-suite full bathroom. In addition there is an adjacent staff room/laundry room with a washer/dryer. The bedroom wing of the home boasts a stunning, corner primary bedroom with two West facing windows facing the Met and another window facing South down Fifth Avenue. There is a very large walk-in closet, a built in couch, and multiple built-ins for ample storage. The oversized, en-suite bathroom has a double vanity, soaking tub, built-in storage and two windows. The nearly 20 foot long second bedroom features a wall of closets and has fabulous Southern light. The bathroom in the hallway between the two bedrooms has a Japanese toilet and can either be kept as it is, or turned into a second bathroom for the primary bedroom. Additional features of this lovely apartment include central AC with multiple zones, over 9 foot ceilings, and great storage space throughout the apartment. In addition, this residence can be combined with 4BB which is a large one bedroom with 4 windows facing Fifth Avenue. This would recreate the entire original "A" line footprint. Built in 1928 by Frederick French, 1010 Fifth is a white glove cooperative located right across from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Amenities include a 24 hour doorman, elevator attendant, Resident Manager, and a fitness center.
