Located on a 0.52 acre lot in the charming village of Bacova, Virginia, the chapel was built in 1925 by the townspeople of Bacova who lived in the 42 homes built by the Tidewater Hardwood Company that owned and harvested trees on the thousands of acres they owned around Bacova, from Poor Farm to Hidden Valley. It has since been a senior citizens center and, most recently, an art gallery following
