I updated the kitchen in 2006 and I love it. I replaced all of the cabinets with new maple cabinets. I installed granite counter-tops. I removed the drop ceiling and added new recessed, pendant and under-counter lighting with dimmer. The fixtures were all replaced with new Moen fixtures. I added a new tumbled marble tile back-splash and added an under-mounted sink. There are new blinds in the kitchen. All new satin nickel doorknobs, door-pulls and handles throughout. I also added hardwood flooring. A local well respected company called KitchenKraft did the work. Changes were made to the downstairs bath including new hardwood flooring, maple cabinets, lighting, marble vanity top, Moen brushed nickel fixtures and toilet. Hardwood was added to the entry hall and family room. I replaced all the windows in the entire home with new Rosati double paned windows. I added french doors with lock and dead-bolt in satin nickel to the family room replacing the sliding glass and updated the fireplace facade from brick to glass tile. In 2010 I added a new Pella front entry door and new dead-bolt locking system. I added a new roof and new exterior siding to the house.
