Welcome to the shores of Lake Erie and one of the highest rated beaches on the North Coast. It is situated 10 min drive to the scenic east entrance to Cedar Point. 15 min from other Sandusky based attractions such as Kalahari water park, Great Wolf Water Park, and the endless attractions that are down town Sandusky. If you want some time to relax and step back to a more rustic era, the Fishing Port City of Vermilion is 10 min in the other direction. This quaint little town is quiet and stocked full of thrift shops, gift stores, and Museums of lake history. This is a good place to rent a paddle board or Kayak (I am good friends with the owner and can get you a discount.) and go for a paddle on the Vermilion River or out into the lake, Charter a fishing trip from one of the marinas, Take a scenic boat ride on the Mystic Belle, sample beers of many flavors at the local tap houses, or enjoy a great Lake Erie Perch or Walleye diner on the banks of the historic river at Quaker Steak. (Later in the year we hope to offer a dinner cruise to Port Lorain or to the Islands.) The food and the culture of this little town is truly a step back in history. Two fine dining experiences of Chez Francois and The Old Prague make this a great dinner time destination. The main attraction is the Beach. It is shallow and sandy for nearly 100 yards out. It is private so it is never crowded. There are peers to pull up jet Skis and a launching facility at Cranberry Creek Marina right next to the community. Mounting and dismounting skis and jet boats are made easy under these condition. The beach itself is long and has plenty of room to set up a blanket or a chair. Benches overlooking the lake make viewing the sunset one of the most romantic places. The Community itself is within walking distance of two small pubs that are mostly frequented by other vacationers. A great place to meet new people and wind down after a day in the sun. The house can be set up in various sleeping arrangements. Notification of your plans or desires before arrival will give us time to set things up to your liking and make sure you have enough beds. There is a grill and a sitting area open to all guests. There is heat as well as decorative fireplace. We live 10 min away and can be of service needs and desires.
