    I purchased this home with 4 bedrooms and a small living room and enclosed kitchen with a tight breakfast nook. Long narrow hallway to back 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom with bathroom was in the front of the house across from the living room. The fire place was red brick and caved in seat area. It was a nice home with large bedrooms, but just didn't flow correctly. I eliminated the master bedroom and in the front and made it into a living room, closed off the bathroom and opened into another bedroom. Old living room became dining room and knocked all the walls down in the kitchen and adding a 6'x6' island with granite top. Opening the narrow hallway to a short hallway. The fireplace was re-done with and off white marble design tiles. All carpet removed and replace with wood laminate flooring including the kitchen. Changed back splash in kitchen from small tile that matched the floor tile to white small marble tile (requires lots of cleaning but manageable) I love how my house looks now, great for family gatherings and spacious to fit holiday gatherings. I wouldn't be able to enjoy that if kept the way I bought it, lots of bedrooms, but not enough room for a family of 12 to enjoy a meal.
