Our corner of Sugarberry Trail is very quiet and tranquil. Long time residents surround the house, mostly original owners from when their homes were built in 1989/1990. All of the neighbors watch out for one another. There are a lot of young families with children of all ages here in our neighborhood and they can be found playing outside almost everyday. The holidays are great as we get a lot of trick or treaters around Halloween and of course the Oviedo Fire Dept. sends Santa on the back of a firetruck around our neighborhood and the rest of Oviedo just before Christmas. Crime is nearly non-existent. Oviedo and Alafaya Woods have a simple small town charm to them both and that's what we love about it! The Townhouse diner in the middle of Oviedo is an absolute must for anyone that likes a place where, if you regularly go, everyone really will know your name. The new downtown which is being built will be an open-air shopping area much like Waterford Lakes but I would assume it will more refined. There will be an open amphitheater in the middle of it for outdoor plays and music to be held. And there will be a host of businesses, cafes and townhomes entwined within it to give the residents of Oviedo someplace to go and relax.
