    What's special

Complete info: http://10708davisave.agentmarketing.com - Minutes from the local State Park and the Historic town of Granite, this home offers custom-built cabinets, hand-cut beams, 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, a walk-in closet and a peaceful expansive back yard. Not your typical cookie cutter home, but personally built by the son of the original property owner, this home exudes charm. Here is more from the current owners When we found our home at 10708 Davis Ave we were attracted to the country setting, the large yard, the screened in porch, the uniqueness of the design, the quaint country style of the kitchen reminded us of our grandparents house, the downstairs bar, the real wood fire place, and the overall cozy feeling of the home. What we loved about our home is the country setting of the property, the way the house is filled with light in the morning, the cross breeze. You can look out the window and see horses grazing in the field next door. Each season had its own special feel, the winters are quiet and the smell of neighbors wood fires, the woods with fresh snow. The spring, all the song birds are back, and you can watch the country come back to life, planting our garden. The summer people are outside, we would eat dinner on the porch, you could hear crickets, fishing in the Patapsco River, and we would use our fire pit for Smores. In the fall, you could feel the crispness, and the entire area is bursting with fall colors. We have changed the landscaping from cluttered bushes, to a more open style, added a front walk, remodeled the basement bar and tiled the floor, refinished the hardwood floors, removed all the wall paper and painted all the rooms. Added hardwood floors to the upstairs, new washer and dryer, installed new kitchen floors, counters, sink, and range. We installed a new kitchen light and fan, and a new light over the sink, new windows in the kitchen, and upstairs bedrooms, painted the porch, a new front door screen, we had the chimneys swept, and a new pump installed in the well. In Woodstock/Granite there are lots of outside activities since it's an old farm community. Trails that belong to the Patapsco State Park are just across the street. There is fishing close by and people ride their Mountain bikes and walk their dogs on the trails. The neighbors are very friendly and keep their yards very clean (even our neighbors with the horses). They are more than willing to help. Our utility costs were very manageable. Since the house is on well and septic, we did not have a quarterly water bill or &guot;flush tax&guot;. The electric bill (BG&E) in the fall through the spring was about $100. In the summer the electric cost would jump to about $200 because of the Window AC units. However, since we have window units, we can control the &guot;zone&guot; so rooms not being used we would not have the AC on until it was being used. Also, since the heat and hot water gun on oil, we did budget billing, which is about $150 a month. It helps to shop around, and the best time to buy oil is in the summer. Some of our favorite restaurants in the area are Tratorria in the Waverly Woods area, as well as the Sushi restaurant, and China Garden the Waverly Shopping center. Of course a nice place to eat is also the Woodstock Inn and you have to try a snowball from the Woodstock Snowball stand. The Grocery store we uses was Weis Markets in the Waverly Woods shopping area. They have also recently opened a Harris Teeter on Marriotsville Road which is also very close. We moved to Woodstock/Granite Baltimore County because it was close to our jobs. We worked in Rockville and Towson, so this spot was right in the middle. To get to the Baltimore metro, all you have to do is take Old Court road about 5 miles. Columbia is about 20 - 30 minutes away; Ellicott City is 10 minutes away. You can be in Downtown Baltimore in 45 minutes. Although the house is not your typical cookie cutter home, it is a unique design personally built by the
