It was named that several years ago by tenants who thought some of the uneven floors were entertaining. This is a 120+ year old building and shows its age. This house is far from perfect, and that is why it is priced lower than many others in the area. Several windows have recently been replaced and insulation was added to attic space, this will help reduce heating costs. If you are looking for a place that is safe, relatively affordable, maintained, allows you to create your own space, and central to the Twin Cities and many colleges, this may be it. If you are looking for a place that is a perfect recently built or without character, you will likely be disappointed and should look elsewhere. The ideal renters are current or recent students friends or others able to live with roommates and share space. Several past renters have been smaller groups that wanted extra space vs extra roommates. Tenants are responsible for all utilities (gas/electric/water/garbage/internet/etc.). Previous tenants reported ~$600/month but that will depend on your use. As mentioned above, insulation has been added and some windows have been replaced. Move in can be immediate and prorated for the first month. The lease will be 1 year + any early move in time. Rent is due on the 1st of each month. Deposit is $2,100 and due upon signing of the lease. The garage needs some cleaning, but can be available for immediate storage. Any repairs that become necessary are addressed as quickly as possible.
