Hello, I'm looking for a roommate (preferably long-term, though will consider short) to go in on a spacious 4 bedroom house (1,300 sq. ft., 7,100 sq. ft. lot) with a large front and back yard, in West Seattle. As the price for apartments is quite expensive, it makes sense to go in on the cost of a house with another, making it more affordable, livable and not next to a multitude of people such as an apartment. The house is nice with washer/dryer/mud room, open living room and kitchen, large back deck, front/back yard, off street or on street parking. I have year round and annual vegetables planted in the front, grapes transplanted and heirloom apples I brought and transplanted from the old house. Indoor plants and propagation as the seasons move. The neighbors are awesome. It's a walking neighborhood with a peaceful duck pond/marsh about 2 minutes walk, Seola Greenbelt right around the corner, Fauntleroy Ferry minutes away, Lincoln Park, secret beach, White Center not far. The bedroom for rent is the largest room in the house probably twice the size as the others, on the north/west side and separated from the rest of the house with a private entrance. Great light, heat when the time comes. mud room, and another small bedroom will open up for storage or use of sorts. Single bathroom, off-street parking in the backyard, roof for sunsets/rises. I work and attend school at the college, research with UW. Environmental Science/Astrobiology. I am a botanist, herbalist, mycologist , enjoy knowing where constellations are during the season, member of the Seattle Astronomical Society, Mycological Society, and Urban Raptor rehabilitation. Art, music, creative type. I enjoy back country hikes, homemade cooking and baking mostly organic. Well traveled, good conversationalist, books, making/building things, and am considerate. My son lives with me 3-4 days out of the week, 13 years old with a great sense of humor, mindful, caring, and cool. Rent would be $1350.00, $100 Deposit, utilities split. I would consider a couple to share the room (it is rather large) for an additional monthly to be worked out. We can discuss pets, overall I am fine with them.
