As we have a 4 year old girl it is perfect for walks and bike rides. This is how we got to know our neighbors. Most of them seniors that have originally purchased the houses. Couple of young families. Very friendly, helpful and nice people. All houses (with maybe one exception) are Cape Cod style build in 50s with huge backyards (difficult to find lots like that these days). Lots of trees and green. When I put up a greenhouse next to my house out of 2x4 I felt like I am ruining the image of the street. I tucked it back between the house and the hedge so it can’t be easily seen from the street. People take great care and pride in taking care of their lawns and landscaping. It really shows in the spring and whole summer. Usually we were the ones with the longest grass. Other positives that we really like are: great school district, walking distance to Long Branch Park / Onondaga Lake Park that have lots of summer/winter activities for kids and adults. 5 minutes ride to Liverpool Village. Two large plazas, Wegmans and all route 57 shops & restaurants within 5 minutes drive. Very much like in the theme song “Green acres is the place for me” , just the city is around the corner when you need it.
