    What's special

UNDER CONTRACT.This is your last chance to make a fantastic deal. Some of you have seemed interested in our beach house, and liked it. If you are serious about getting our humble looking, very low maintenance beach home in a forested neighborhood with a beautiful walk to the ocean that is ready to move in beyond your comprehension, time is running out for you. After nearly 30 years, we want to share our dream with you at a price you can afford. By Aug 1st, we will be working with a realtor who will be looking for as many thousands of dollars as we can spare for her commission. So act now. This is our final FSBO listing on this site. The price includes a 4K allowance to replace a working but aging heat pump. This means you will be getting a builder-owned & remodeled home, tastefully filled with good stuff, from sheets to jigsaw puzzles, an antique chest, furnishings and dishes, everything CHOSEN by us for our personal liking, not bought on the cheap just to fill space. This home is not a money pit requiring expensive upkeep. Best of all, you can buy some groceries, walk in, pick out your favorite bedroom, unpack and head for the beach. This house will be sold soon—maybe to you. Call us! Great 2nd or 1st home beach home, fully furnished and appointed! If you want an easy get-away retreat or vacation home, with easy walking access to the ocean and very minor upkeep, this house will interest you. Oak Island is a beautiful island community with easy access to Wilmington, Myrtle Beach and Southport. Completely remodeled and furnished in 2007 it has been used 3-4 weeks each year since by owners only. The outside of the house looks rather ordinary but inside it is a gem. And, you don’t have to climb a lot of stairs to get inside! This house is located on the highest part of Oak Island. A large living room is “sectioned” with furniture to provide a separate reading area. A flat screen Visio 41” TV, 3-seat sofa that reclines on both ends and a reclining love seat provide ample seating. The reading area has two cozy swivel chairs just right for relaxing with a good book. The dining room is furnished with a round teak table that has been sealed with polyurethane and 6 custom-made chairs. The kitchen is large and includes dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, a pantry and stocked liquor cabinet. Maytag frontload washer and dryer are in the laundry room. There you will find the backdoor leading out to a small deck with a gas grill. The three bedrooms have white wicker furnishings, beach-themed bedside lamps with one-of-a-kind and colorful wall art and mirrors. Six-drawer dressers and single-drawer bedside tables have drawer slides for secure opening and are topped with ¼ inch glass. The floors are wood façade laminate. Custom runners were made for the entry and hallways. This floor is durable and easy to clean with the Dyson vacuum included with the house and stored in the coat closet. A fully stocked linen closet means you never have to worry about clean towels and sheets when you arrive for a stay. The two full baths have fiberglass tubs/showers trimmed in tile with built in shelving to hold shampoo, conditioner and other bath items. Each bathroom has a three-panel mirrored medicine cabinet for additional storage. The house is located equidistance from the ocean and inter-coastal waterway. 9th Street is one of only three streets with direct access from the island to the beach, taking you on a raised wooden walkway over Davis Canal and a beautiful salt marsh. The exterior of the house is vinyl sided. A 10’ by 12’ storage shed is in the back yard—great for storing bicycles (3 come with the house)! This beach house is ready and waiting for you to come any time. Our decision to sell it has not come easy but we have reached a point in our lives where the sun is no longer our friend. We know you will find this a wonderful, relaxing getaway.
