Looking for a month-to-month rental agreement first - if you are a good fit, we can go longer. $850, everything included (front bedroom with twin bed, full closet, wifi, good well-water, heat, electric, washer/dryer, your own mini-fridge, beautiful gardens, we buy your bar soap/shampoo/conditioner/laundry detergent/cleaner/dish liquid/liquid hand soap) We are into growing as much food as we can on our .5 acre lot with beautiful gardens in Mebane, NC We are conveniently located between the Triangle and Triad, in central NC. 15 minutes to Hillsborough 10 -15 minutes to Graham/Burlington 25 mintues to Durham 30 minutes to Chapel Hill/ Carrboro 30-45 minutes to Greensboro 45 min to Raleigh You can walk to: Grocery store, Drug Store, Urgent Care, Medical Center, Gas Station, Library, Outlet Mall, Post Office, UPS store etc. all from our home. HOUSE RULES: - Our ideal renter smells like the wind and the forest and dirt. We are ok with some unscented biodegradable plant based products but you are going to have to ask us first. We have severe chemical allergies so even conventional unscented products can be a really big problem for us. If you feel like bathing in a waterfall is your ideal smell or you enjoy not wearing deodorant then you are our kind of people. We have had a lot of issues with this. Most people think that some lotion is ok. It's not. We use only organic jojoba oil and organic olive oil. We also make our own comfrey and calendula oil. We are happy to share and to educate but we cannot have people bringing things from the outside world into our home. The good news is we will provide products that are ok so you don't have to do a lot of guessing. We are happy to send you a list of the products we supply so you can see if they are ok for you (olive oil/soda/water body soap and plant based shampoo and conditioner from Fillaree in Durham etc.) No animals allowed. No smokers. No vaping. No one who has a job around chemical smells (mechanic, fast food work, hair dresser or makeup person, fast food factory...) You will have a shared downstairs bathroom. We have a separate bathroom so you will either share your bathroom with the other renter/traveler or you will have it to yourself if the other room is vacant. There are two small cabinets in the bathroom so you will have a shelf for your toothbrush, toothpaste and mouth rinse. We cook a lot. Like most of the day, so if you want to cook, we can talk about it. We only allow organic food in our kitchen and we have a few food allergies so you would have to respect those rules. We do eat meat. You will have your mini fridge. I enjoy working with others in the kitchen, my only hang ups are around food I'm allergic to. We have a large garden you can walk through and or sit and enjoy. We have large trees (one of them has a swing) and some spots for hammocks. We're looking for a emotionally mature person with a regulated nervous system who knows how to speak early and often about their needs and live in community with others. Our ideal renter won't mind talking about animals/dinosaurs sometimes with a chatty 10 year old boy. We are looking for a person who is empathetic and calm and enjoys plants and music and focusing on making positive happy energy in this often too crazy world.
