Shallow Ponds: These Cypress tree lined, long, flat bottom (1 to 3 feet deep) ponds were previously used as a fish farm. During the wet season these ponds are ideal for 4-wheeling. Do you like eating frog legs? Just grab a gig, headlight and bucket! When dry, the pond beds can be planted with crops; rye, sorghum or other forages for wildlife and cattle. Health: The dirt excavated from the ponds was used to build a berm that runs around the perimeter of the property. Walking the pine lined berm (approx 3,600 feet long/0.70 mile) is ideal for a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk to get your heart pumping. The sound of the breeze blowing through the pines as you walk is soothing to the soul. Fruit: Pick delicious wild blackberries and blueberries. Guavas planted behind the cabin.
