The historic McCampbell Inn was built in 1809 with additions in 1816 and 1857. It is a Virginia Historic Landmark and is on the National Historic Register. In 1907 it became the Central Hotel and continued as a hotel and boarding house until 1971-72 when it was purchased by the Historic Lexington Foundation and underwent exterior restoration.Today, the McCampbell Inn serves as a premier Country Inn with 16 guest rooms and suites.There is a large double porch and private, on-site parking (19 spaces!) make it one of the most desirable properties in Lexington, Virginia.
