Our Quiet Hide Away Can Be Yours! It’s time for us to retire, so we are looking for someone who will be able to take care of the home we have come to love so much. We have over 1700 sq ft on 1.86 quiet acres. Being a brick home and set back off the road, it has been a wonderful place to come to after a hard day at work. We can take walks out by the stream or watch the unfettered wildlife from our living room windows. We can take a dip in the in ground pool which is supported by a full bath house which include a shower and a commode. Playing catch with the kids in the expansive front yard or tinker in the barn in the back (or manage the chicken coop) is a great way to spend the lazy days of our summer weekends. Our home was designed for entertaining. Plenty of parking for guests, but more importantly is that the Living Room (26x15) seats over a dozen people quite comfortably. For meals, the dining room (16x13) can accommodate the largest of dining tables. The great part is that the hostess is never separated from the guests as there are pass through windows on either side of the centrally located kitchen. Hardwood floors and a stone, gas log, fireplace adorn the Living room. The kitchen has enormous amounts cabinet space and the convenience of modern electric appliances. Now, there is a Sun Room (17x7) that faces the stream. It’s an excellent area for morning readings and gleaning the morning sunshine. The Master Bedroom (20x14) sports an on-suite full bathroom as well as several closets. It is large enough to place the biggest of bedroom furniture in it. We moved from PA Dutch country many years ago where we owned a B&B. We couldn’t part with all prized antique furnishings, so we were delighted to find such a wonderful house that could accommodate us. There is another Sun Room off the Master bedroom which would make a great office. A few years ago we put on a 40 year architectural shingled roof and added the stone fireplace in the Living Room. We also built the Sun Rooms and added the barn and pool during our tenure. We have placed wood burning fire places in the main Sun Room and in the Garage. The garage is oversized and we had intentions of closing it in and making it into a Den. But maybe that’s what you could do once you come to love and own this dear house of ours.
