L.C. Oliver served as the Mayor of Baldwin, FL from 1932-1967 (35 years) and he was a valued, dedicated employee of Seaboard Airline Railroad for 53 years. Oliver also served as a Duval County, FL Justice of the Peace for five years and performed wedding ceremonies at the hotel’s ballroom. Mayor Oliver's 40 years of combined public service marks one of the longest political careers in Duval County history.
