This land has a very tall tale entrenched within it's seams. The locals say it was long overlooked, passed on from owner to owner, tucked amongst the Ponderosa Pines, but never built on. Legend has it that there once was a budding Orchard started by a well known man by the name of Al. After Al came a famed musician, with dreams of building his forever home up there and being buried on the property after a long peaceful life filled with love and music. As this musician got more and more famous, he realized he wouldn't be able to hold onto this property forever if his touring success continued. After many years of pause and hesitation, he sadly put the land up for sale. This land remained pure and untouched for a long time until many moons later, a spark of magic occured within the Klickitat Canyon, and a beautiful family stood overlooking the Klickitat River with a glimmering hope and vision for this fabled land. This family went back to their home and packed up everything, saying goodbye to friends and family. The family ended up buying this land with a dream of building their legacy, farm, and orchard high upon the hill overlooking the canyon. Shortly after closing on this property, a very very distinguished business man came along and began to reason with the young family, telling them that the land would be too hard to build on, that the road might be long and challenging, and need to be engineered to exact standards, and that they should not live out their dream because it might disrupt their privacy, and impede the future growth of their estate which was already sprawling across three adjacent properties. This neighbor made it very clear he would not give up his intentions of one day owning this property. The young family, exhausted by a long road to finally get to this property, had no interest in fighting this neighbor for dominance of a Canyon that was not theirs to begin with. They packed up their things and loaded up on yet another great adventure into the unknown, kicking the dust off their shoes, and never looking back. Only God knows what will come of this land, but surely there is hope for the next settler to take this fabled ground and turn it into something beautiful, even if it might be the heir to the sprawling kingdom next door.
