It is located in the locals area of Old Town, Key West. It is a quick 5 to 10 minute bike ride from Duval, or 15 minute walk. About 10 blocks on residential streets. Search for Tennessee Williams Studio Key West on you tube for a video tour. This large studio is on the upper floor of a century old Key West converted commercial building. The Oscar winning film the "Rose Tattoo" was filmed partially here on location in the 1950s. This home is a monthly rental. The studio is very old world Key West. The building is over 100 years old and the studio incorporates many "old Key West" particulars like slatted windows. It is very energy inefficient. :) There is no insulation and you will hear kids playing in the park. The floors have weird crooked slopes. We have updated a number of parts of the house while retaining its old world feel. There are brand new (2021) GE appliances and a wine bottle fridge. There is a small 2 person table and an L shaped couch. The TV is smart. The building is a triplex. This studio is one of the units. It has it's own street entrance. It is completely private. There are no shared spaces. The studio is one unit of a triplex. The building is a converted commercial building. It was a grocery store 70+ years ago, then a restaurant, and, likely, a few other iterations, and now is a triplex. The studio occupies half of the upper floor. The owners (us!) live on the bottom floor in our own house. The studio has its own private entrance and is completely separated. There is no shared space. We do not generally interact much with our guests but are right downstairs if you need anything or if anything comes up. All utilities (electric, water, internet, trash) are included in monthly rent amount.
