Fall asleep as you listen to the ocean waves in your bedroom and contemplate the last views you took in of the silver moonlight shining on the ocean. Grab the binoculars as you catch a few puffs near the horizon during the migratory season of the wales. As the cove fills with anchovies in season, you'll find yourself in the middle of one of the most awe inspiring scenes of the nature as thousands of birds, dolphins and at times even whales make the ocean surface boil with feeding frenzy as they have kept the nature's balance for thousands of years. If you can part yourself from the house, you'll find plenty of activities within the walking distance. The famous West Cliff walkway across from the house wraps around beautiful coves for nearly a mile on either side of the house, bookended by the Natural Bridges beach on one side and Santa Cruz wharf on the other. Say hello to the neighborhood dogs being taken on their daily walk and stop at the lighthouse to watch yet another view of Monterey Bay as the surfers dance on the waves in the world famous Steamer Lane next to the lighthouse. Bike right from your doorstep along the coves by the West Cliff road. For a longer cardio workout, bike to the Wilder ranch 3 miles away where there are even more trails on the hills and along the ocean. West side Santa Cruz collection of restaurants, wineries, bakeries, coffee shops and yoga studios are only a few blocks away. Do your daily organic grocery shopping at the New Leaf, one of the most exciting grocery markets in the Bay Area supplying the best from the local farms.
