This is a beautiful, furnished, spacious 2 story house in the Mission Canyon neighborhood of Santa Barbara, right up from the historic Mission. Ideal vacation home for the summer. It has great views and 1 acre of fenced private yard. Gardener is included in the rent. Very quiet neighborhood and in the middle of nature, yet within 15 minutes driving from State Street and the beach. Parking for 1 vehicle included. Perfect for a family with children or someone who wants to bring a dog or cat (a dog is allowed as long as they are not "barkers" and are on leash in public spaces such as the parking). Due to the quiet setting, parties or large gathering are not allowed. First floor: 2 bedrooms with 1 queen bed and 1 double bed. 1 bathroom (remodeled recently) with bathtub/shower, kitchen (with microwave, stove, dishwasher, coffeemaker, oven), huge living room with high ceiling, 2 ceiling fans, long patio around the house with seating areas. 2 large fridges and freezers (1 is outside). Second floor: 1 master bedroom with California king bed (the largest there is), bathroom with bathtub/shower, washer/dryer, huge patio/sundeck with great unobstructed views, ceiling fan. You can see the ocean and the Channel islands on a clear day! A great spot to enjoy gorgeous sunsets! I am asking USD 3600 per month (+ 1500 USD deposit. Rent is including utilities) which is far below the normal rent for this sort of property in this neighborhood. The reason for this is that we would ask you to take care of our 5 chickens (you get to keep the eggs:-), 2 ducks and a bunny during our absence. That doesn't mean you need to be home every day. You could still leave for road trips for a few days and feed the animals extra food before you leave, or one of the neighbors could help out during your absence. You are also welcome to bring your own pet. I will post more pictures in the next couple of days of the interior and bedrooms. The interior is part wood floors and part carpet. Everything is "old" but functional. However it's comfortable and the bathroom downstairs was remodeled a few months ago. This house is ideal for nature lovers in search of a quiet and relaxing property for the summer while still being close to the city center. You will hear the sounds of owls and coyotes at night and you will see hummingbirds and red tailed hawks during the day. The house is rented out furnished and will be cleaned by a professional cleaning company the day before your arrival. We will also have all carpets cleaned professionally. We will not move out all our things from the house since it's a short term rental. And we will need to store some of our belongings inside the house, but there is plenty of space for that. PLEASE NOTE: you will share the driveway with a friendly neighbor. Their house is very close to our house, but other then that it's completely private and our 1 acre yard is separated with a tall fence.
