The studio is part of a shared compound of dwellings dating from the late 1800s, and includes a house, a cottage and this studio, all sited on a lush double lot on Blaine Street in the Uptown District of Port Townsend. Each dwelling on the compound is private & secluded within its own private area of the property. This classic Port Townsend location combines the best of a private, quiet and serene living environment with close walking distance to all that PT has to offer. Stroll downtown in 10 minutes; shop for groceries at Aldrich's Market 2 blocks away, with the post office, library and a variety of restaurants and shops within a short walk. The furnished studio is a small intimate space, about 170 square feet, created by an experienced sailor with an eye for detail and it naturally incorporates a few boat-like features. It has everything you need, with some luxurious touches. It includes a full-size washer/dryer in a separate building. The studio is fitted out with lovely maple floors, a tile kitchen counter, pine interior walls, bathroom with a shower and toilet. The modern kitchen is small but highly functional with a 2-burner induction stove, a convection oven, a microwave and a refrigerator, with a nice amount of storage space for food, dishes, etc. The entry to the studio is through French doors and the sleeping area has a full-sized bed. Windows everywhere; the studio is filled with light. Although the living space is small, the studio's outdoor area is expansive. The French doors lead out to your private, covered cedar deck, and then onto 5,000 square feet of lushly landscaped grounds. The cedar deck is a lovely, quiet place to enjoy coffee in the morning sun, and during the fall you can pick apples from the tree right outside the bedroom window. This detached studio is located near the back of the property and is very private and quiet. It would be helpful if you liked animals, given that you'll be sharing the environment with a few regular wild visitors, including a doe and her current pair of fawns (summer 2025-vintage) and a few squirrels that have become quite tame over the years. The all-in utility expenses (including internet) have historically ranged from $150 to $250 depending on season. Move-in costs are first month and last month in advance, and a security deposit of $1,250. Strictly no smoking or vaping on the property and no pets, please. Single occupancy only. You should be able to offer excellent references, have a good credit rating and be able to verify source of rent payments. Rental agreement is month to month, after a 3 month minimum.
