Small 1BR miner's cabin for rent in Four Mile Canyon, about 20 minutes from Boulder. The cabin is small (about 400 sq. ft.) and is most appropriate for a single person. It is on a shared well and there is no on-site laundry. The furnace and hot water heater use propane and the cookstove is electric. The utilities and propane are not included in the rent and usually run about $30-40/month for electricity and around $150 - $200/month for propane in the winter (it's much less in the summer, and it depends on the person). No dogs or outdoor cats. No smoking (it's a fire hazard) or loud parties. It is close to Four Mile Creek and is in a small neighborhood. It is peaceful but not isolated - there are neighbors on either side of the cabin. 4WD is not necessary but good tires are strongly suggested in the winter. It is about 15-25 minutes from Boulder depending on the weather. There is no cell phone coverage in Fourmile Canyon. For internet, DSL is available (through CenturyLink), or StarLink. There are no laundry facilities on-site. The rent is $1400, with a $1400 deposit. Lease and work/rental references required. It is available May 1. We can do showings most evenings during the week and during the day on weekends. Renter responsible for propane, electric, trash disposal and internet connectivity. No fires of any kind. No dogs. The lease will expire on April 30, 2027, with the option to renew on a yearly basis.
