Lipe, inventor of the early auto transmission and one of the fathers of Syracuse industry. A technological wonder for the time, it was among the first homes in America with a central vacuum system, intercoms and butler/maid annunciators. Neighborhood Description The Strathmore Neighborhood is located in the Southwest section of the City.
