It has built in book shelves (under window) and three closets. One is a walk-in with built in shelving and room for a chest. There is also a large shelving unit which will stay in the co-op. It provides very handy storage. Extraordinarily large east facing window @ 10 feet wide lets in lots of light. The unit is on the ground level on the front of the North building and faces the round-about and a small grassy lawn. The interior is painted a bright white. Gray carpet. Galley kitchen has a range, *brand new* full size frig and microwave available. There is no dishwasher. Fair notice: The kitchen has not been updated in a while but it is clean and functional. The unit bathroom has yellow tile. This is a smoke-free building. NO SMOKING in the unit. This is a very pleasant and convenient community in which to live. It would be a good spot for getting your bearings if you are relocating to the area. FURNISHINGS: Except for the large shelving unit, I am offering the unit unfurnished. Contact owner about options if you are interested in furnishings. UTILITIES: Utilities are included. Building wifi is included. Turnkey - nothing to have set up or change into your name. Most occupants chose to have personal internet service turned on. You will need to arrange for cable if you wish to have cable TV. Starry, Comcast and Verizon are all available in the building. Several channels are available via broadcast ("rabbit ears") if you "cut the cord" and choose free TV. PETS: This is a pet-free unit. LOCATION: The unit is in the Rosslyn area of Arlington, VA. For those not familiar with the area, this is the very tip of Virginia which is on the Potomac River opposite DC. The co-op is in a large housing development called River Place which is at the end of the National Mall and across the river from the Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, etc. It is also a short walk across the Key Bridge to Georgetown. This is a super close-in location. There is a Safeway (grocery) about 2 blocks away, an urban Target near there and a CVS (drug store) next door. The community has full amenities including a large, clean laundry room (in same building), on site management, staffed front desk, gatehouse, security, fabulous outdoor pool, *fitness center*, theater, grassy outdoor areas, and convenience store. You may learn more about the community and see pictures here: TRANSPORTATION: The River Place complex is approximately one block from the Rosslyn metro station. Rosslyn is the first metro stop on the Virginia side. It is a very metro short ride to the golden triangle in DC, Capital Hill and the commercial areas of Arlington. Major Universities in the city including George Washington U. and Georgetown and American U. are all a short commute away. Close to several metro area hospitals. Very close to the Pentagon, Crystal City, etc. If you work in the Virginia suburbs, the reverse commute is relatively civilized. There is very easy access to major highways from this location. PARKING: assigned, surface parking is available for rent separately for $50 to the tenant only. It is quite feasible to live here without a car. Car share programs have cars in the immediate area if you need a vehicle only occasionally. Public transit will take you to National Airport or Dulles if you need/wish to rent from one of the car rental companies there. DURATION, LEASING: I prefer a one year lease which renews in the summer. Advise if you have special concerns. I have some flexibility. Background check, rental references and deposit in amount equal to one month's rent will be required. OCCUPANCY: Occupancy is limited to one person. Utilities included in rent. Parking available for a modest additional fee. Small fee to register with building upon move-in (@ $10?) - not a lot of tedious additional fees. Superb location. Nice community amenities.
