Historic Monument No. 1041 and known as the Donnelly House, this residence, built around 1864, is one of Los Angeles' earliest wood-framed houses standing today. Exterior features consist of an eastward facing front porch with wonderful views of the San Rafael Hills and Church of the Angels, and a large patio with an operating wood burning fireplace nestled amongst mature oak trees. Charming bells from the Church of the Angels count time - hourly. The residence is reached via a well-manicured, English-garden, walking-pathway and up a flight of stairs and through a rock wall. Prior residents have consisted of writers, music composers, artists, and food and wine entrepreneurs. Property has street parking, and is a two-minute walk from a transit stop.
