Completely gutted home down to exterior structure!! That means the entire house has new electric, water, sewer, drywall, flooring, insulation, and some subfloor. There is now stairs inside the house to get to the basement along with the original stairs from the garage down. All interior, exterior, and ceilings have new fiberglass insulation. We did go from a three bedroom to a two bedroom but the trade off was a master bedroom with a walk in closet and an on-sweet bathroom with Jacuzzi tub/shower soaked tub, along with washer and dryer setup in the master on sweet. Spare bathroom has a soaker tub/shower also. As of now the basement is unfinished due to the massive undertaking of the remodel, but we did the house justice and are now making it a home. All doors are 36" wheelchair accessible and hallway is 42" baseboard to baseboard. Electric is up to code as of 2016. The water coming into the house goes to the pressure tank and from there we went with a PEX tubing and manifold system which allows for and individual shut off for each hot and cold water if any problem should occur. Since we up graded two a two bathroom setup we had to upgrade the plumbing going out. The original cast iron coming in to the house was left in place but from that point in, new vent tubing and clean outs and water traps were installed for easy cleaning. The cortex Flooring we purchased is water proof and scratch resistant. We have new floor to ceiling drywall so the paint had to be done as well. When we were painting the entire house got 2 full coats of primer sprayed on with a roller following for a much more even two coats. The a\c unit is from 2006 but the furnace and water heater were replaced during the remodel of 2016.
