UPDATED PHOTOS! Nestled on 0.8 acres of forest with babbling Booker Creek running along the edge of the property, this spacious 5-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom home offers the feeling of country living while still having many of the conveniences of being in the middle of the town. The home is surrounded by a canopy of trees, and the creek that the home overlooks. The sloped forest backyard affords privacy. From the deck running the length of the back of the house with a mid-tree view, one has the feeling of living in a treehouse. There are owls, foxes, and deer in the forest. We have a flock of egg-laying chickens (that can be re-homed with a neighbor if desired). It is on a cul-de-sac, closed to thru traffic. It is also walking distance to Eastwood Lake, Carolina North Forest trails, and the Bolin Creek trail. Our home is a 10-15 minute drive to UNC and a 20-minute drive from Duke. Several Chapel Hill transit free bus lines are a short walk away. The home is in the walk zone for Estes Hills Elementary and Phillips Middle public schools of the Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools, which is the highest ranked school distinct in the state (Niche rankings). It is located just over 1 mile from the award-winning Chapel Hill Public Library and the Blue Hill shopping area, with quick access to Silverspot movie theater and grocery stores ranging from Trader Joe's to Aldi to Whole Foods to Wegman's. Inspired by the Pacific Northwest aesthetic, this shed-style house boasts a clean, minimalist design with a strong connection to nature. The home features large, sloping roofs and expansive windows and skylights that allow natural light in. Hardwood floors run throughout the home. It was designed to blur the lines between indoor and outdoor living. The home comes fully furnished. With its spacious layout, including five well-sized bedrooms and three and a half baths, there is plenty of room for everyone. The master bedroom is on the first floor for those in need of one-floor living. Connected is a spacious bathroom with both a walk-in shower, separate tub, two sinks, and a walk-in closest. There is a second large closet in the bedroom itself. On the second floor, one bedroom has two twin beds and one has a queen bed. Each is near its own full bathroom with skylights. There are also linens and bedding that can be used. Two other upstairs bedrooms are set up as offices but can be used as bedrooms. Each office has two desks, with one office set up for adults and the second with desks adjustable in height for youth or adults. We will leave behind multiple monitors and keyboards that can be hooked up to laptops. The living area has two-story tall ceilings and overlooks the forest. The dining room can seat 10 and also overlooks the forest. The family room offers something for everyone, with a ping pong table, hundreds of books, or a comfy spot to watch the trees sway. The kitchen has a double sink, electric cooktop, stainless steel appliances, and two closets-worth of pantry space. It is also fully stocked with utensils and cooking tools. A deck runs along the length of the back of the home, feeling like one is living in a treehouse. Hardwood floors run throughout the home. A security system has been installed and is active. Use of the two car garage is negotiable. Our home is well-loved and we'd be happy to setup Zoom tours if you're interested. The tenant will pay for all utilities, including but not limited to electricity, gas, water, and internet. First month's rent, last month's rent, and a security deposit of of 1.5 months of rent is due at the signing of the lease. Rent is due at the first of the month. Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property. Any evidence of smoking inside the property will result in forfeiture of the security deposit and potential additional cleaning fees. No pets. Any evidence of pets inside the property will result in forfeiture of the security deposit and potential additional cleaning fees. Use of the garage for parking is negotiable; otherwise, parking is on the street in front of the house. Rental insurance is required. Minimum rental period is 6 months. Maximum rental period is 12 months. A 30-day notice is required to terminate or renew the lease. Subletting is not allowed.
