The apartment is spacious and comfortable for two people, with two large bedrooms, a living/dining room, a large kitchen (with dishwasher), one full bathroom, and three closets. It's on a third floor with beautiful sunlight coming from the southeast (bedroom 1), south (dining room and kitchen) and southwest (bedroom 2), so it gets great light all year around. Laundry is shared in basement with the other five apartments in the building and is coin-operated, at the same 2 dollar rate per machine/load as other places in Cambridge. There's also a laundromat a 5 minute walk away if you prefer, I never bothered. Landlords are professional, friendly, and responsive, with an office a few blocks away. Water is included in the rent price, as with most apartments in the area. Electricity and gas (cooking and heating) are paid by the tenant, as well as Internet connection. The street is quiet with a beautiful park (the American Academy of Arts and Sciences) just a block away, and some of the prettier parts of Harvard's campus beginning two blocks away. There's a grocery store a 5 minute walk away, just across Beacon Street, with two other ones 20 minutes away. Delicious French and Middle Eastern cafes 10 minutes away on foot, as well as other food options. Harvard Sq and Porter Sq are both 15 20 minute walks away, both with subway T stops. Inman Square is also just a 15 minute walk away. I commuted to and from MIT/Kendall Square by bike (10 15 minutes) or walk (~40 minutes) every day; the new-ish Beacon/Hampshire St bike lanes made for a great bike ride. The rent is 2900/month, with a first and last month's rent needed by move-in date (no broker fee or deposit). Option to purchase some of the furniture, if interested.
