House is approx. 1420 sq feet with an attached MIL. Neighborhood - Quiet street in residential Northgate. Walking distance to QFC and Safeway. There is a great little taco truck just up the block and we are a hub of Ethiopian food. Zylberstiens delicatessen has a great Rueben sandwich. 15-18 min walk to new Light Rail and good bus access. Neighbors are friendly and say hi and bring treats regularly (I can't promise that will continue but we are 5 years going strong! :)) House Vibe/Culture - House has two roommates already in it, Andy and Stefan(owner). We have occasional gatherings that have included backyard bbq's with friends and family, periodic house dinners, halloween party with karaoke, small band practices, D and D games, board game nights, etc. We hope the new housemate will be sociable, enjoy chatting with the roomies and want to bring friends over. No smoking in the house. No pets. Other stuff - We pick up after ourselves and are generally clean. We want a roommate who will notice mess and clean it up. House doesn't need to be spotless, but neat and clean-ish. We want to be "hosting ready" if friends come over. Food - we share our food(less alcohol) and housekeeping items purchases. We use "splitwise" to keep track and square up periodically. The benefits of this include getting to eat whatever is available without concern, the ability to share with guests freely (if you host a party of 4 or more, please buy your own food), and a wider variety of food to pick from around the house. We see this as an opportunity to build community AND save money AND save space. We try to be thoughtful when we shop and buy a few things we know each other will like.
