The is located at an altitude of 12,436' in a high valley on the NW side of California Gulch. There is a tunnel on this claim which extends some 800 feet to the vein. The ore on the dump is quite siliceous. Kaolin, sericite, Sphalaerite, galena, and chalcopyrite were found in small pieces on the dump. In 1910, 2,763 tons of ore were milled which made 435 tons of concentrates containing 27 ounces of gold, 5,250 ounces of silver, 1,998 pounds of copper, 500 pounds of lead, and 201, 873 pounds of zinc. The zinc derived from this ore since 1900 amounts to 30 percent of the total of the districts. County code will not allow for a residential structure on this property. The value of this parcel is in the minerals.
