This area is unique in that the river separates West Virginia from Maryland. On the Maryland side is the C and O Canal- very protected in the fact that the view will never change. I say it is a different picture every day. This part of the river is called dam #4 and it is about 11 miles of deep running water with a boat other than a jon boat or jet skies. It is used for water skiing, tubing, wave surfing, jet skiing, fishing, canoing, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding or just cruising! We have a few generations of eagles that I see pretty much daily. One of the special beauties of this area.
